Mr. Morianos has extensive experience in the investment management industry. He started his professional career in 1988 as a financial analyst at Alpha Bank. He later worked as a portfolio manager at Alpha Investment Co. Then, he joined the Hellenic Investment Company S.A, where he served as member of the Board, C.E.O, Chief Investment Officer and Chairman of the Investment Committee.
In 1999, he was elected Chairman of the Board and the Investment Committee of DIAS Investment Co. In 2001, he became C.E.O in Telesis Investment Management S.A, where he was a major shareholder and Chairman of the Investment Committee until 2003, when the company was sold to Eurobank and was renamed Eurobank Asset Management S.A..
At Eurobank Asset Management S.A., which then merged with the Mutual Fund Company of Eurobank, Mr. Morianos worked for 10 years as a member of the Board, General Manager, C.E.O. and Chairman of the Investment Committee.
Mr. Morianos has also served as a board member of the companies, GFM Levant Capital Cayman Ltd, Eurobank EFG Cyprus, and as Chairman of the Board of DIAS II Specialized Investment Fund Luxembourg (2012-2013) and Eurobank Fund Management Company Luxembourg (2011-2013).
From 2012 until 2018, Mr. Morianos was a member of the Board and the Investment Committee of the listed in Luxembourg Stock Exchange, Ophelia Investments S.A. Moreover, Mr. Morianos has served as Vice President of the Association of Greek Institutional Investors and of the Association of Investment Services Companies.
Mr. Morianos holds a degree in Economics from Athens University, and an MBA from Boston University.
Mr. Alexandros Tsoukopoulos is the Chief Investment Officer of AssetWise Capital Management. Prior to AssetWise Mr. Tsoukopoulos was a Senior Director in the Institutional Sales Department of Eurobank EFG Asset Management M.F.M.C., responsible for international sales. Previously, as a Senior Director in the Investment Management Division of Eurobank EFG Asset Management, he was in charge of the Portfolio Management for private clients. He has also served as head of the Discretionary Asset Management unit for Eurobank EFG, as a portfolio manager for private clients with Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner and Smith (Hellas) and as Investment Consultant with Societe Generale, Athens. Mr. Tsoukopoulos holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Illinois and a BA in Economics from the University of La Verne, California.
Dr. Nikitas Pittis was Professor in Financial Econometrics at the Department of Banking and Financial Management of the University of Piraeus, since 2000 until 2025. Dr. Nikitas is the Chief Economist of Assetwise, providing value through his scientific expertise and his academic credentials. The impact of his scientific work ranks him in the top 8% of economists in the Europe (based on RePEc Ranking: Research Papers in Economics Ranking).
After completing his PhD at the University of London. Dr. Pittis worked as a senior research associate at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research in London and then as an economic analyst in the research department of UBS in Zurich. He was also member of the Board of Economic Advisors at the Ministry of Economics and Finance of the Greek Government. Professor Pittis has published more than forty research papers in highly ranked academic journals. His work is widely recognized, as documented in many of citations to his name in ‘Google’ and ‘Google Scholar’ search engines, in academia and financial and banking institutions all over the world. In 1995, his work was selected for inclusion in ‘Advances in Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management’. He has coordinated a big number of research projects funded by various national and international organizations and foundations. He has presented his work in numerous of prestigious international scientific conferences and has given academic and public lectures at Universities and Research Institutes all over the world.
Mrs. Polytimi Salma joined Assetwise as Head of Operations Department and DPO and she is now the General Manager as well as one of AssetWise’s founding members since the incorporation of the company. She has worked in positions of responsibility in management and operations, gaining experience in large organizations. She started her career at Hilton Athens then Sprider S.A. at operations department and then switched to the banking sector. In 2007 she joined Eurobank Asset Management S.A. as senior administrator and stayed after the merger with Eurobank M.F.M.C. until 2013. She holds a bachelor degree from the Department of Management and Economics, Section Tourism Management from the Technological Institute of Crete, and an MSc in Economics from the Department of Banking and Financial Management at the University of Piraeus with distinction.
Dr. Panagiotis Samartzis is Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Macedonia. His consulting role offers to the Assetwise team strategic guidance on a range of financial tools and investment opportunities. He has also served as the General Manager and Head of Research & Portfolio Management at AssetWise Capital Management, a research associate at the Discretionary Asset Management unit of Eurobank EFG, and a research associate at the department of Banking and Financial Management at the University of Piraeus. He has participated in many research projects and data science competitions with significant distinctions. He holds a Ph.D. in Econometrics from the University of Piraeus, Greece, an MSc in Mathematics & Finance from Imperial College London, UK, and a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Athens, Greece. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
Mr. Foufas is a Senior Investment Manager, with over 25 years of experience in the field of Asset Management. Prior to joining AssetWise Capital Management, Mr. Foufas held the position of Deputy Head in the Institutional Investment Division of Eurobank Asset Management M.F.M.C., where he was responsible for managing the company’s Institutional portfolios as well as portfolios of the Bank’s clients, specializing in Western European and US markets. Prior to that time, Mr. Foufas has worked at EUROBANK EFG Asset Management Department, where he led the department’s development of international portfolio management business.
He is a Hellenic Capital Market Commission (H.C.M.C.) certified portfolio manager, holds a MSc degree in Construction Management from Columbia University, ΝΥ as well as a BSc degree in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
Mr. Panos Karouzos is a Senior Portfolio Counselor in AssetWise Capital Management since 2016. Mr. Karouzos started his career in Citibank Plc as Senior Citigold Executive. In 2007 he joined HSBC Bank Plc as Senior Premier Manager in Financial Planning & Wealth Management Department. Mr. Karouzos holds an MA (Econ) in Finance from the University of Manchester U.K, a BSc in Statistics and Insurance Science from the University of Piraeus and a Diploma in Business Administration from Wigan & Leigh College UK. He also holds professional certifications from the Bank of Greece.
Mr. Vangelis Kokkoris is a Senior Portfolio Counselor in AssetWise Capital Management. He has an extensive track record (over 20 years) in the financial industry and international capital markets, with solid experience and knowledge in Portfolio Management, Derivative Products and Project Management. He has served as head of the Derivatives Department with Axon Securities S.A. as well as with Capital Securities S.A., Derivatives Market Surveillance Supervisor of Hellenic Exchanges SA and Discretionary & Advisory Portfolio Manager at HSBC Securities Greece. During his professional career he led as project manager various projects in the above organizations and companies for which he worked.He holds a Bachelor in Business and Finance from the American College of Greece. He is a Certified Market and Securities Analyst, Certified Portfolio Manager, Certified Derivatives Market Maker/ Trader and Certified Project Manager in Prince2 and Scrum Agile.
Mr. Konstantinos Velissaris is a Senior Portfolio Counselor in AssetWise Capital Management since 2014. Mr. Velissaris started his career in Citibank Plc as a Citigold Executive. In 2007 he joined the HSBC Bank Plc initially as a Financial Planning Manager and later as a Premier Relationship Manager in Retail Banking & Wealth Management. Mr. Velissaris holds an MBA in International Banking and Finance from the University of Birmingham U.K and a BSc in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business (ASOEE). He is certified Portfolio Manager by Bank Of Greece.
Mrs Ioanna Xeraki is the Head of Middle Office. She has a long experience in Investments and Middle Office departments in Eurobank Group since 2007.In particular, she held the position of Portfolio Manager Assistant in the Investment & Strategy Division of Eurobank Asset Management M.F.M.C. while previously she has worked at the Middle Office of Eurobank Asset Management as responsible for the Institutional Clients and at the Middle Office of Eurobank Asset Management SA. She studies Business Administration at the Hellenic Open University.
Mr. Vasilis Albanis is the Head of Compliance and Internal Audit Department in AssetWise Capital Management. He holds the MSc Program ”Finance, Investments and Risk Management” from the Athens University of Economics and Business and also a B.Sc. in Accounting & Finance from the same University.
Mr. Ioannis Stamatis works at AssetWise Capital Management as a member of the firm’s investment team, while he previously served as a Quantitative Analyst in the company’s Research Department. He holds a BSc in Banking and Financial Management from the University of Piraeus with several distinctions and is a CFA Level II candidate.
Mr. Alkiviadis Theofilou is working Risk Manager in AssetWise Capital Management. Mr. Theofilou has a broad knowledge of the financial industry business that started in 2007 from National Bank of Greece while he was still studying at the University. In 2015, he joined Piraeus Bank Group as a Junior Analyst in the Asset Management Mutual Fund Business. Then he worked as a Risk Manager and an MIS specialist in Pension Financial Risk Monitor Company. He holds a BSc in Economics, an MSc in Applied Economics and Finance from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MSc in Business and Finance from the University of Surrey.
Ms. Christina Peroukidou works in the middle office department of AssetWise Capital Management. She is experienced in customer service, as she has worked in the customer service department of Beiersdorf Hellas S.A. (NIVEA) and the relevant department of consulting company StratIS – Information Society Strategies and Actions LTD. Ms. Peroukidou holds a B.Sc. in Marketing to the School of Economics and Management of the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki.
